Farewell Pine Tree : I haven't captioned these images yet, but they tell the story of a very large stone pine tree that started coming apart in the summer heat of June 2003. It cost $3000 to have this tree taken down, not including another $500 to remove the stump, and not including removal of the larger pieces (shown next to our driveway as we waited for people to respond to our "free firewood" signs). Our back yard looked very bare after this so we decided to re-landscape. Pictures of the new yard will be posted to a separate gallery at some point...
